Hurricane Katrina Damage Galleries

Visit to Biloxi, MS : I recently made a trip to Biloxi, Mississippi to check on the recovery efforts. Hwy 90 was just reopened last month and there is still a ton of work to be done. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina's destruction can only be truly measured by visiting the areas destroyed by her storm surge and winds. Whole blocks were left completely stripped of all houses, leaving only a foundation slab. The locals estimate the water rose to over 40 feet during the storm. I would believe it after witnessing the damage done.
